In the world of connectedness and instant gratification, most people often refer to the constant need for attention as being “thirsty”.
When someone posts a crazy selfie on Instagram and captions it with “UGH I’m so ugly” that’s what’s referred to as a “thirst trap.” They post it hoping to get all of the responses about how “beautiful” they are or how they “look so amazing.” Ugh!!!
Likeable people never beg for attention. This isn’t to say they don’t like attention, they just don’t require it to be happy.
If you want to get someone to dislike you immediately, just make them feel like you’re “thirst trapping.”
You’ve met that person, the one that has to make the grand entrance or the one that’s planning their own “birthday week” every year.
Don’t be that person. Instead of trying to receive all of the attention, try giving all of the attention to whomever you’re talking to.
